Austin Kiddie Limits

Posted on September 7, 2007. Filed under: Blog News, Sippy Calendar |

music_feature18.jpgTons of shows have past since I last updated the blog….The Sippys have been here, there, and everywhere! Here’s a clip of the Austin Chronicle article:

“This year’s festival for the pint-sized and underaged among us has an educational bent. Gone are the hippy-dippy yoga classes and finger-painting tables. This year’s Kiddie Limits goes beyond what your kids have experienced on the fringes of Festival Beach. It’s taking your kids to the School of Rock.”

picture-2.pngThe Green Apple Music & Arts Festival, the nation’s largest celebration of Earth Day, is committed to raising environmental awareness by combining live musical performances from diverse genres with educational outreach and cultural events suitable for all audiences. The festival features over 200bimbos1.jpg musical performances simultaneously over the weekend of April 20-22nd in New York City, Chicago, and San Francisco.

As a part of the Green Apple Music Festival next weekend, The Cups will appear at the classically glamorous Bimbo’s 365 Club in SF’s North Beach on April 22nd for two shows, 1pm and 4pm.

They’ll also appear at Earth Day on the Bay at the Marine Science Center in Redwood City. The MSI has a mission of putting students in direct physical contact with their local bay environment to help cultivate their natural sense of curiosity while enriching their understanding of science and fostering a responsibility to protect their environment.

sxsw.pngThe Sippy Cups leave for Austin, Texas this Thursday where they’ll be performing at big outdoor show that is FREE to the City of Austin.

The show begins at 12:30 sharp on Saturday, March 17th at Town Lake Stage.

Sippy Paul will also be appearing as a speaker on Friday at 3:30 pm. on a panel called “Rock and Roll is For Kids.”

“SXSW’s original goal was to create an event that would act as a tool for creative people and the companies they work with to develop their careers, to bring together people from a wide area to meet and share ideas. That continues to be the goal today whether it is music, film or the internet. And Austin continues to be the perfect location.”From SXSW History.

Brava Theatre Concert, March 11th 1pm & 4pm

Posted on March 5, 2007. Filed under: Sippy Calendar |

spring-card-front.jpgThe next gig for The Sippy Cups is this weekend in San Francisco. Yes, we’ll be at the 4pm show!

The Brava Theatre is a great venue that’s easily accessible from all over the Peninsula. It was founded in 1986 at the Galeria de la Raza in San Francisco and is deeply rooted in in the Mission District neighborhood. It’s a terrific piece of recent history that makes a great setting for all types of concerts and performances.

I’d recommend purchasing tickets in advance to guarantee admission. Though, they always sell tickets at the door.

Cost: Adults $18, Kids $12, Babes-in-Arms free

Discount code (found on another website): SIPPYKID or SIPPYGROWNUP

I hope to see some of you at the concert this weekend! I’ll have an Springtastic Recap next Monday! Shout out and let us know you were there and what you thought about the show!
